Will an Orbea Rallon RS-LTD Fit in an Evoc Bike Bag Pro?

Compatibility guide for packing the Orbea Rallon RS-LTD e-enduro bike in the Evoc Bike Bag Pro travel bag, including geometry specs, e-bike considerations, and fitting steps.

The Short Answer

YES: but it gets tight on XL frames. The XL's 1,301mm wheelbase pushes right against the Evoc Pro's 1,300mm limit.

Battery: Flying? Battery must be removed.

The Quick Answer

The Orbea Rallon RS-LTD will fit in the Evoc Bike Bag Pro across all sizes, but XL riders are cutting it close. The limiting factor is wheelbase — while S, M, and L sizes sit comfortably under the bag's 1,300mm maximum, the XL at 1,301mm technically exceeds it by a whisker. In practice, we've packed XL frames successfully by fully deflating the fork and being methodical with positioning.

This is an e-bike, so factor in the extra steps: TQ battery removal, motor protection, and weight management to stay under airline limits.

What Makes This Combo Manageable (Just)

The Rallon RS-LTD benefits from Orbea's focus on integration — the TQ motor system keeps things relatively compact compared to bulkier Bosch or Shimano setups. The 180mm Fox 38 fork can be fully deflated to gain precious millimeters, and the carbon frame keeps weight reasonable for an e-enduro bike.

The TQ battery slides out cleanly from the downtube, which you'll need to do anyway for airline compliance. This actually makes packing easier since there's no awkward battery bulge to work around.

The challenge is that 1mm margin on XL frames. We're talking about a measurement that varies with tire pressure, sag settings, and how precisely you position the bike in the bag.

Fitting Steps

  1. Remove TQ battery first — slides out from downtube after unlocking
  2. Deflate fork completely on L and XL sizes to gain maximum clearance
  3. Remove wheels and pedals as normal
  4. Mount to Evoc Bike Stand Pro with battery cavity facing up for stability
  5. Position frame diagonally in the bag if needed on XL — you have some wiggle room
  6. Protect motor area with extra padding around the downtube
  7. Secure battery separately in the main compartment (don't pack in wheel wells)

Warning

XL frames require patience and precision. If your wheelbase measurement is on the longer side due to tire choice or setup, consider the Scicon Aerocomfort MTB which handles up to 1,320mm wheelbases.

E-bike Weight Considerations

The Rallon RS-LTD weighs around 18-19kg without pedals, plus the Evoc Pro at 9.6kg, puts you around 28-29kg total — well within most airline limits but leaving little room for additional gear. The TQ battery adds 1.4kg when carried separately in your luggage.

If It's Too Tight

If you're on an XL frame and want more confidence, the Scicon Aerocomfort 3.0 TSA MTB handles wheelbases up to 1,320mm with room to spare. It's a hard case with better protection for the higher-end components on the RS-LTD, though it weighs more and costs significantly more.

Alternatively, consider the Evoc Mountain Bike Bag Pro (their new 2025 model) which is specifically designed for modern enduro geometry with a 1,340mm wheelbase limit.
